Community!

I don't know why, but the hot word lately between Tori and I has been community. We really hope to live somewhere and go to a church somewhere that has a great sense of community. This is a desire of ours when we get married, but it is still something we want now, and luckily have! The church we are going to now, Genesis, is full of love and care between individuals. We are so very excited to have had the opportunity to develop relationships amongst them within the last few months. Anyways, communities are cool...

So today I woke up, took a shower, and headed to Tori's for breakfast. We ate and Tori finished getting ready before we headed to church. We were both in the band today so we got there early to practice our songs. Everything went really well, and I played a fun collage of love songs with two other guys from the band to end the Real Marriage series. After church, some friends asked if we wanted to go grab some food and so to Jimmy Hula's we went. It was great! But, I had been feeling myself getting sick for most of the day, so when Tori and I did get home, I went to sleep for a while and stayed in bed for the better part of the afternoon into the evening. Don't worry, Tori took care of me. She made me tea and airborne and dinner (which was really yummy). Then, to reward her for all her efforts, I took her to get a sweety! Bruster's, of course (See picture above, also I look tired, cause I'm sick, but don't worry, I'm good)! So that was our day, also we threw and episode of lost in there. Goodnight and God bless!

Babies!

Well, today was a good day! Daniel made breakfast this morning, which is always great! We worked on school stuff, practiced for worship tomorrow morning and somewhere in between we looked at some cruises our travel agent sent us to look at! Sooo excited! After making dinner (lunch was the usual sandwich! Haha.) Daniel and I went to Griffin and Jennifer's house! (a couple at our church) There, Daniel, Jason and Griffin worked on a special song for church tomorrow while the three of us girls sat in the living room and talked! It was nice to have some girl time, I must say! The Campbell's (Griffin and Jennifer) are in the process of adopting a baby boy who I got to hold and love on, which was great! We ended the night with sorting baby clothes for Rachel, who is due in three months! It was really fun picking out cute baby girl outfits that people from our church had donated to the Campbell's. (Rachel is Jason's wife, Jason is our worship leader). Then, Daniel and I parted ways and here I am! Haha.

I tried to make it a little easier to follow names with the parenthesis. I hope it wasn't too confusing. Haha. Good night all! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

P.S. Crazy story for people from the Springs who follow our blog: Griffin was the worship leader for Jay Mitchell's church in South Carolina. Small world, huh?

Marriage Retreat!

Last night Tori and I went to a marriage retreat with our church! We didn't end up getting home till super late, so I decided I'd write this today! Not much to say about the day... We went to classes and did homework untill it was time to get ready for the retreat. Then we got all dressed up; her in a dress, me in a three piece suit! The drive to the event was fun! We had never been to the side of I-drive that has the pea body, wonder works, and ripley's so it was cool to see those while spending some good quality time together! We arrived at the Rosen hotel a little late, but that's okay because everything was a little behind schedule anyways. Once the doors opened, we were very excited to mingle with friends, take some pictures at the photograph areas (complete with props) and eat some dinner! After dinner there were some games, door prizes (we won movie tickets) and a lesson about marriage. Though Tori and I aren't married yet, we agreed that this would be a valuable function to go to, sort of a pre-premarital counseling. We were very blessed to be able to go to this event. Not having any income, the sixty dollar price tag on the event made us going to the event unrealistic. But, at the last minute someone sponsored us so we were able to attend, what a blessing. We left feeling ready to begin the next chapter of our lives and at the same time being happy with where we are presently!

Well, God bless, I hope you are all having a great day!

Thursdayyyyy!

Today is Thursday! I slept in wayyyy too late today, I think I'm still recovering from jet lag... But Daniel was sweet and came over, let me sleep in, and made me coffee! When I woke, Daniel went to a meeting and to take a test he missed when we were gone... I went grocery shopping! When I came back I packed a lunch for Daniel and I and we met up with my education project group! After that, we went back to my apartment, rested a bit and then I dove into homework and Daniel went to class! I worked on more homework while Daniel cooked dinner! Yum. Then as I continued to work on homework, Daniel looked at apartments in the Viera/Rockledge area! We are soooo excited to go look sometime soon! It was also nice having my roommate, Ashley, here to ask her some questions about the  area, since she knows it pretty well! :)

Well, I best get some rest because I still have more homework to do before class tomorrow! Yay... But hey, after classes tomorrow it is going to be a fun night!!

Back in the swing of things!

Getting back in the swing of things wasn't so easy today, but all in all I'd say Tori and I did a pretty good job. Classes, homework, and studying is all in full throttle again! Luckily, we aren't too far behind and should be all caught up by the end of this week! Though I was stressed most of the day, after having a long, great, quality filled, fun, and constructive conversation with my Bride to be about future stuff, I was revitalized. I was ready to take on the world! So then we went to dinner. We ate at Hawaiian Grindz, one of our new favorite restaurants. Best part is we spent less than if we would have cooked at Tori's place! After dinner we spent some time outside on some chairs chatting before I left and we got back to homework! Now it's bed time! So goodnight everyone! God bless!

Tiring Day.

To say the least, today was such a tiring day. We are both exhausted. Last night our flight left from San Francisco just before midnight, which was actually 3:00 in the morning on the east coast. After flying to Atlanta then Tampa with an hour layover we drove from Tampa to Ocala. We had lunch with Daniel's mom and sisters, then drove back to Orlando. I immediately dropped off Daniel at his class, went back to my apartment to unpack a little. We picked up some Subway for dinner, went to the Evans for our small group and now we are back at my apartment trying to get all of our work done for school tomorrow. SO. TIRED. I am really wishing we didn't have to hit the ground running back into the swing of things... But I guess, that's the way it works. Good night everyone! Sleep some for us... Hahaha.

More Adventure!

So today we went out on phase 2 of our adventure! After waking up, packing, and eating breakfast, we got in the car and headed to the coast! The beach was amazing! Way too cold for swimming but beautiful with cliffs and rocks and large waves and a scenic drive! After that we headed towards San Francisco and hung out at golden gate park, which was amazing! Last thing for the day was a dinner at a little Asian restaurant in west Richmond right on the outer bank of San Francisco and it was delicious! Then it was time to say bye to California as we loaded the plane! And thus finalizing a wonderful adventure! Good night and God bless!

Being Adventurous!

So yesterday was an amazing day! We did a lot of sight-seeing! After we ate breakfast at the hotel we headed to the Golden Gate Bridge! It was absolutely beautiful!! After that we went to Muir Woods and saw the huge redwood and sequoia trees, which was truly awe-inspiring! We had a nice little hike at both of those locations! Then, we went to downtown San Francisco! Which was super cool! We were able to see Alcatraz, Pier 39 (sea lions included) and had dinner at a nice restaurant! We then walked around to the little shops on the pier, including a store dedicated to left-handed people, which I really enjoyed!! We then walked a couple blocks to ride the trolley! So fun! The hills were super steep and San Francisco is like nothing I've ever seen before! I really enjoyed it! Enjoy some pictures!!

A Beautiful Day!

Ah! Great weekend! Jason is married! And it was such a beautiful wedding. On the day of the wedding, Tori met up with Nichole (Jason's wife) and all of her bridesmaids in the morning to get ready! I wasn't there, but I'm sure it was crazy! It's crazy enough just to see Tori get ready to go to class, but for 4+ girls to all be in the same room getting ready for a wedding, I just assume it was crazy!! While Tori was with all the girls, I was with all the guys. We had a great time! We just hung out by the pool until about 45 minutes before we needed to leave, then we got ready, took some pictures, and headed to the wedding. Everything went so smoothly! Once we made it to the venue, all the groomsmen posed for some pretty sweet photographs which I took! I mean, if I wanted to, I  could be a photographer, just sayin'. After the girls arrived, everyone took there places. Then we watched as the girls all entered (Led by beautiful Tori). There wasn't too too much emotion yet, but then we all stood and I'm sure everyone got at least a little emotional when the bride came in. Her dad brought her to the front, handed her off to Jason, and the vows and exchanging of rings began. The vows were beautiful, the setting was beautiful, everything was beautiful! Then, they kissed and they were officially man and wife! After the wedding, we took some more photos, and then we went to Nichole Wyns' house for the reception! We ate, danced, and just had a good time for a few hours, then it was time to say goodnight and head back to the hotel with Tori's parents. All in all it was a beautiful day!

Here are some photos:
