You've Missed Us, Right?

Needless to say, we've missed you too. Honestly, we haven't posted because there wasn't much to say. The week before last post would have looked something like this: School. Work. Bye. Exciting, I know. That week we did go to our worship leader and his wife's house to have dinner and hang out, which was great!

Funny Story: On our way home from their house we got pulled over. There had been a bicyclist hit-and-run on the same road we were driving on and our car fit the description. Talk about the wrong place at the wrong time! We were sitting on the side of the road pulled over for about a half an hour. We had to wait for eye witnesses to check us and the car out (which we didn't know at the time why we were waiting)! It was nerve-wrecking, even though we hadn't done anything! Pretty bizarre. But then, to top it off... When we finally got home we were greeted by a huge cockroach! At least we had a good laugh once we finally settled down. HAH.

I absolutely love this little comic! So cute! I just thought I would share this since I've been so hard at work with my school work! Hence, the coffee and nutella for motivation while spending several hours at Books-A-Million!

We did go on a really enjoyable adventure! Daniel boarded and I biked to the trail I had discovered a few weeks back! Again, we saw gators, turtles, and lots of pretty birds! It was so nice to get outside for a while!

When we returned from our 6 mile adventure, we found this crazy huge green caterpillar! And I had a pretty awesome tan line from biking. Hahaha.

Though things are still tight as were are still trying to get on our feet, we decided we really needed a date night. It was SO worth the extra money to get out, spend some quality time with each other and do something different! I think we really needed it, we could tell how much better we were and it set the tone for the rest of the weekend. Readers: DATE NIGHTS ARE IMPORTANT. Seriously. Make time for them, spend the little extra money; it is such an investment in your relationship. I can't stress that enough. Since it had been a while, both of our eyes were really opened to how crucial date nights are; so, that's why I'm telling you to go on dates with your love!

Last Sunday, was the first Sunday of the month, which means family time at the Ramirez grandparent's household! There, I met this cute little guy pictured below. Family time and good food is always nice!

After our first Sunday family time, Daniel's parents and sisters came to stay the night and spend Labor Day with us! Yay! We did a lot of hanging out and showing them our lovely little city! Daniel's parents also blessed us with some outdoor furniture for our back porch! We were so excited about them we had dinner on the back porch in our pajamas that night after they had left!

Well, I guess it's back to homework for me! Hope you all are doing well and have enjoyed your past few weeks and your Labor Day!

Mini Vaca!

This past weekend we were fortunate enough to go on a mini vacation to Siesta Key with Daniel's family! Daniel's family vacations here every year and it's always a blast!

In one of the surf shops we went into we saw these shark teeth. The one in the middle was almost the size of my hand! Crazy scary!

Big Olaf's is a must in Siesta Key, great ice cream! We made a few stops here...

These grapes caught my attention at Publix, so we had to try them! Pretty interesting!

Kristina joined the nose ring club while we were there! Yay for Ramirez girls and nose rings!

Lots of much needed relaxing time for these newlyweds! Can you tell we got some sun? Haha.

We also went to the movies, out to dinner, and more window shopping! My husband is so handsome! I'm a lucky girl!

Before leaving we stopped at one our favorite and cutest coffee shop! Good stuff!

Sad faces as we say good bye to Siesta Key!

We ended up stopping at Downtown Disney on the way home and ate at one of my favorite restaurants! This mini vacation was the perfect way to end my summer, since today was my first day of school! Hope you all had as great as a weekend as we did!

Hallo, dis is tha Blog Post.

Tori and I had another great week in Melbourne, still exploring and getting to know or new city, and having a good time doing so! Last Saturday we went to Florida Tech's botanical garden for an adventurous walk and ended up finding Melbourne's first school which was so tiny yet exciting for the teacher to be! The trail itself was beautiful as well!

Continuing the adventure, Tori went on a 10.5 miles bike ride this week and found a trail where she encountered all sorts of wild life. I didn't get to go with her (I was working) but the pictures she took make me excited for when I do.

Just a picture of our Florida sky at night!

Tori also made us some wonderful meals this week! Some creative and new, and at least one a replication of a personal favorite. Shown below are Zucchini Pizza things with noodles and "healthy" Chick-fil-a chicken and sauce! I don't know all the ingredients (sorry) but I do know that it was very very very tasty! and with the Chick-fil-a chicken, we also had Zucchini fries from the scraps of the Zucchini Pizza!

Not only did she get creative with meal choices, she also got crafty and made a headband and decorated some plain coffee mugs! I'm lucky to have such a creative woman!

Friday, we were lucky to spend the day with Audrey and Michael. They drove down to visit and we went to the beach, the Incredible Pets store, and out to dinner at Pizza Gallery! It was wonderful spending the day with such great people!

Last thing we did was drive to Orlando where I took the GRE. Hopefully I did well enough to get accepted to UCF for grad school! Here's to hoping! Regardless, we decided to go to one of our favorite desert places in Orlando to celebrate the completion of the test, Jeremiah's!

Good Morning Friends!

Happy Weekend! It's been a great week! Pictured above are the orchids Daniel got me for our 2 months of marriage! (Somehow, it didn't make it to last weeks post!) Last Sunday, we went to Luau for our church! It was fun! We loved the opportunity to get to know some more people. Somehow, we even ended up in a hula hoop contest, which was to The Wobble. So obviously, we did the dance while hula hooping... Skill. I won! Hahaha. This week was the usual school and work for us. I had my final exam Thursday, hence the study picture. I ended up getting over 100% as my final grade, which I was pretty excited about!

This week, I did a lot of creative cooking and just made up some random things. Haha. I have enjoyed making so many fun recipes from Pinterest lately, like this Feta and Parmesean Zucchini/Squash bake! It was so yummy! The recipe can be found here!

We also went on a Starbucks date last night and got Frappuccinos! Feels like it has been forever since we have had one! Yum!

I have also been wanting to share the Etsy shops I purchased from for our wedding! I feel like Etsy played a big role on our big day! I love Etsy! I have a lot of friends engaged and such, so I thought I'd share the love! These are just a few things that made our engagement/wedding special and cute! Check them out!

2 Months, Double Date, and Rise Worship!

Well, pretty much we had a great week! We have officially been married for 2 months as of Thursday, pretty exciting! Tori made us an amazing meal as shown below!

Beautiful Meal Provided by My Love Celebrating 2 Months of Marriage!

It was so very delicious! She's such an amazing cook! Thank you pinterest! ;)

We spent Friday with Stephen and Amanda, some friends of ours! We went to the beach, played some board games (The picture below), went out for dinner, and ended the night watching the new Wolverine movie! Which we thought was pretty good! And we had a great time with them!

Scattergories with Steven and Amanda!

For Saturday (today) we went to a sunrise worship that one of our friends, Rett, is heavily involved with. It was really nice to see so many young people getting involved to support human trafficking awareness as well as supporting financially to help as much as they can. We also did a lot of worshipping.

After the service we went out to breakfast at a trendy little breakfast nook in downtown Melbourne!

Here is a little throw back from last week when Tori and I went to D. I. G. for breakfast. We are pretty much regulars now! :)

Blessed!

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all having a wonderful week/weekend so far! For me, sitting in our living room, looking at all these "things" that we have, I've realized that I have a lot to be thankful for. For our back porch with it's modest size and simple view. For our furniture, decor and the ability and time to sit back and enjoy it all. For food always on the table, good health, and date nights to explore the city. For a bed to sleep on, and a roof over our heads. For a job that I love in a wonderful city living with my beautiful, smart, and godly wife. For time together; living, laughing, and loving. For two wonderful families we have grown with and a new church family to grow in. For a God who has been faithful, loving, and has blessed us with all these things that we have to be thankful for. Obviously there are so many more things that could be listed, but I hope that the point is across that we are so humbled and thankful for a God that cares and blesses those who seek after him!

Last Saturday, Tori and I witnessed the union of Stephen and Amanda Hill. It was a beautiful wedding and a wonderful celebration. They have been together since Steven and I were seniors in high school, and it's so great to have seen them grow together for the last 6 years.

We were able to get some pillows to add some color in our living room and were very happy with the result!

Also, we witnessed some amazing God power! Probably the worst lightning storm I have ever seen! I was driving home from work Thursday afternoon and off in the distance I see the largest, most vivid lighting bolts I've ever seen, and they all seemed to be striking right next to our apartment, where Tori was! The closer I got the more affirmation I received that the strikes were right next to the apartment! Once I parked the car, the thunder was audible at the same moment the lightning was visible! We survived so all is well, but it was pretty amazing and scary!

Last thing to talk about, is we've been getting a lot of starbuck's giftcards lately, which has translated to a lot of starbucks breakfast dates! Which are always great! :)

Well, we hope that you have a great week! Take time to realize how blessed you all are! Good bye!
