Crunch time!

As you already know, the semester is finally wrapping up. Which means intense studying, paper writing etc. Haha. This us our last normal week before finals. So be praying for us! I turned in one of my final papers yesterday and did a presentation on it. I was so nervous, because I hate public speaking things. But I thought I did pretty well! Today I will go back to Rachel's classroom for my last bit of service learning! Yay! Also, last night we went to the Evans for our last relationship series get together! Everyone wore Christmas sweaters and pajamas, I wore my penguin onesie of course. We listened to Christmas music, ate lots of food and watched Christmas movies! Hope you all are having a good week!

P.S. We've hit the 6 month mark! Oh my goodness! This is like for real. ;)

Thanksgiving Weekend!

So, I don't know how your thanksgiving day looks, but ours was pretty amazing....

Tori and I ran our first 5k together and did pretty well! We had to be there at 7:00 a.m. which meant we had to wake up early! But it was a great way to start thanksgiving day! All of Tori's family ran; Her mom, her dad, her brother Ben, her brother Jason, and his wife! My mom and sister also ran it! So it was a fun and exciting time to get together. My sister smoked my time... but that doesn't matter I guess... Then we wen't to Tori's and freshened up. (P.S. She was beautiful! Of course, she always is.) It was nice to spend some time with all of her family, but then we had to head to my parents, where we ate and hung out!

At the table, there was a lot of laughter and happiness as all of my mothers side of the family was there to enjoy this family time! Also, my cousin and I made a tower out of napkin holders and a knife, no big deal. After we finished eating turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, green bean casserole, and corn stuff, we headed to Tori's for food... When we got to Tori's parents, everyone was excited to see us, mostly cause that meant they could eat! haha But it was good to see them too. Then we sat down, prayed and gave thanks, and ate! We ate a lot of the same stuff, which was delicious all over again, but it was all slightly different as recipes do differ from cook to cook, in case you didn't know that. The most noteworthy difference was the stuffing. My mother made a homemade stuffing that was sort of sweet with dried cranberries and a light vinaigrette, where as Tori's mom makes it a little more spicy with sausage! Mmmmm! I used to hate stuffing, but both of these are simply amazing!

After eating dinner, it was time to divvy up the christmas lists! So, we all put our names, and three gift ideas, onto a piece of paper, folded them up and put them in a hat to draw. After multiple tries, we finally all didn't get ourselves and so we were good.

Then we headed to my house again to watch Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. Which is cute! All the youngins, including my Aunt, then played Apples to Apples! Then we said goodbye and headed back to Tori's.

At Tori's we pretty much just did homework to end our Thanksgiving...

Needless to say, it was an exciting and eventful day! I hope you all had a great day! Today, we will be headed to Orlando to celebrate thanksgiving with my fathers side of the family! GOD BLESS! :)

Great Weekend!

We had a great weekend in Ocala! Saturday, we had the party for Jason and Nichole, which was good! It was nice to spend time with the family! We ate soooo much this weekend. Ugh. I'll probably feel that in my run tomorrow... After everyone left, we watched the UFC fights, pretty exciting stuff. Today, we hadn't planned on staying but due to my school situations, we stayed and studied. I wish I could have been free to hang out with family and Daniel the whole time we were there this weekend, but I have two tests tomorrow that I am just studying away for. Most of the weekend I was isolated reading, haha. I am thankful for the time I did have with everyone though! However, definitely ready for tomorrow to be over. Well, these tests anyways. Excited for up and coming stuffs! Hope you all had a great weekend!

As far as wedding goes, my wedding shoes have been ordered. Cool stuff.

Thermofluids and Family Time!

Thursday I was studying for a Thermofluids test all day, but it was kinda interesting, so that's good. My cousin, Elmo, who is a high school senior/aspiring engineer, is taking AP physics and he needed some help, so he headed to UCF to meet up with me to get some help. Well, he happened to be studying Q=kA(T_hot-T_cold), which is heat transfer in the form of conduction, and that's what I was studying! Which was interesting, cool, and kind of funny! Tori was studying Government, not heat transfer. Before we called it a night, I made us all some hot chocolate! Then my cousin and I drove back to our neighborhood, after I said goodbye to Tori.

The next day, Friday, Tori and I headed to Ocala! We are going to be celebrating her brother, Jason's, wedding with all her family that couldn't make it all the way to California. Unfortunately, we have to do homework simultaneously, but it's always nice to visit our families! Once we got to Ocala, we spent some time with my parents talking, eating, and watching a movie! Always relaxing to be in a homey environment, can't wait till Tori and I have our own homey environment! :) I hope you all have a great weekend! Bye!

P.S. We are probably going to be posting less in the up and coming weeks, due to finals and wrapping up the semester! But we will try to keep you updated on the important stuff (especially the wedding!)

Light Up UCF!

Hey everyone! Wednesday was of course full of classes, as always. But afterward, we went grocery shopping and then to Light Up UCF! Daniel also surprised me with a new hand made mug some art students were selling! I loooove it! At Light Up UCF, it was a lot of standing in line, since so many people were there, but it was all worth it! They had Christmas lights and were playing Christmas music. It's starting to feel like Christmas is near! We got free t-shirts, rode the ferris wheel and went on a horse carriage ride! I had a lot of fun! It was a nice little break from all the end-of-semester madness. We're gonna save the ice skating for another night though!

It was also really crazy to think that probably the next time we will find ourselves in a horse-drawn carriage will be in 6+ months on our big day! Wow. It is approaching so fast! I am absolutely thrilled and am getting more and more excited with each new day! I mean, look at that countdown! Dwindling down.... Hahaha. I've added some photos from yesterday. Happy Thursday! One week until Thanksgiving!

As the Semester is Wrapping Up...

Yesterday consisted of lots of homework! With finals getting closer and project deadlines creeping up, it's time to buckle down and put our patience caps on! Tori came and met me at my Grandparents yesterday, where we were for most of the day. We took a quick LOST break but quickly got back to the madness. Then we left and headed to Tori's apartment where she got ready for the basketball game. While she went to the game, I went out to eat with a friend from where I worked this Summer. It was good to see him and have some good conversations with someone who "speaks my language", but I did miss Tori. After dinner my friend suggested that next time we go out that he'll bring his wife and I'll bring my Tori! So that was our day! I'd say, for having so much homework, it was a pretty good day! Hope you all had a great day! Bye!

A Day Off!

Thanks to all those veteran's out there, we had the day off from school on Monday. It takes such sacrifice to do what they do, we are so thankful. Daniel and I took advantage of the day to get a lot of school work done. After hours of that we went running! I felt really good about my pace and distance, so hopefully I will be ready for the Turkey Trot next week! If I keep it up!! Hahaha. We ended the night by going to the small group and an FCA meeting to follow! So excited for what God has in store for our campus! So excited to spend time with family this weekend and next! Hope you all had a great long weekend!! Have a great week!!

Kingdom Minded.

Sunday was Great. We are going through a series right now at church talking about the Kingdom and being Kingdom minded. It's really been good for me to hear personally because it's challenged me to be more in Gods word to learn. I'm I good learner I'd say, so why not learn more about His story. After Church I took Tori to grab some lunch (accompanied by coupons!) and it was tasty! Afterwards we did some more wedding registering! And Tori showed me some puppies she liked at petland! Then we went home and I got the worst headache I had ever had! After taking some pills I turned out fine though! So that's good! Then Tori and me just spent some time together before I had to say goodnight! I hope you all have a great day! Bye!

We also ate Reese's Klondikes and played Pass the Pigs with Tori's roommate.

Homework and Soccer!

Ooooops. I fell behind this time. The title pretty much says it all. Daniel made the usual Saturday breakfast and after I got ready and he met up with senior design group to work on that stuff, and I work on a big paper due soon. Seriously, all day. We stopped for a lunch break somewhere in there and then got back to it. After we came back to my apartment we decided to go to the UCF women's soccer game. It was one of the NCAA championship game, so it's a pretty big deal. Our soccer program here is phenomenal. Anyways, we won after double overtime and penalty kicks. It was so exciting! And it was cool to be able to celebrate for some of the people we knew on the team or working with the team. It was definitely nice to get outside and hang out with people we know from our small group and of course, the Evans. I hope you all are having a great long weekend!

When You're Lacking Money...

So last night was Friday night and therefore date night! As the title implies, we didn't have much money. And no money means more creative! First we made bunless turkey burgers, which were yummy! Then, as Tori cleaned out the kitchen, I cleaned her room as a surprise and set up "date night stations!" the first one was crafts and Lost! The crafts are for the wedding... ;) then we read a chapter from the Bible, and lastly we watched the amazing spiderman, drank hot chocolate and ate oatmeal raisin cookies! Needless to say, it was a good night, and cheap! Yay! :) goodnight!

Excuse the messy room...

Thursdayyyyyy

Yesterday was Thursday! I woke up and went to do some more observation hours in Rachel's first grade classroom, which was fun! I'm so excited to be a teacher! After spending a few hours there, I went to Waterford to look at some things, mostly for the wedding... But I bought a sweater, which is nice! I then went back to the apartment to make pizza for Daniel and I! We ate and then relaxed, watched LOST, did a devo, you know... The usual... Anyways, we are excited for the weekend! Even though it will be full of homework, we will be able to get in some quality time. :) Have a great weekend everyone!!

U Can Finish!

Well everyone, I'm sorry that I have not been keeping everyone as updated as quickly as I would like, my classes have just been crazy with no sign of slowing up until the semester is over! My senior design project is beginning to take off, which is exciting but I still have to write about 20 pages! So excited to get it done! It's really going fairly smoothly! Also, I found out that I am going to be able to graduate in May, which was really important! U Can Finish! Wrapping up Wednesday Tori and I just relaxed and spent some time together! Which is always wonderful! I hope everyone is having a great week and are excited for the weekend! God bless!

Election Day!

So, Tuesday I woke up and headed to the Evans for a bit to babysit! We made rock mice! (Pictured below) After the Evans, I drove to Ocala to vote! I met my mom at the house and we went and voted together, which was a nice experience! It was my first time voting too. We then had lunch together and I worked on finalizing the Save the Dates, that will hopefully be sent out this week! When my dad came home it was nice to catch up and spend some quality time together. After hanging out with my dad for a while, I packed up and went to Daniels house where I sat and talked with his mom and sister, Sophia. I wish I had more time to chat with them, but I had to drive back to Orlando to go to the Evans again for small group! Which was great! We finished the night by watching the news about the elections with me roommate. Daniel and I have been praying since it was announced that God would give our President the wisdom and strength to lead our country for the next four years. God has a plan and I'm excited to see it unfold! Have a great day everyone! Also, we are less than 200 days away now!!! Here are some pictures....

So Yeah, About Monday...

It would definitely be fair to say that Monday was a grumpy day. I had a lot on my mind with school  and the wedding and well that equated poor decision making which ultimately led to me being a grumpster! On the flip side, Tori was in a great mood until finding out some annoying news about her class schedule resulting in a crabby mood. So there we were, two tidal waves at any moment ready to collide! Fortunately, I'm engaged to a woman who is mature far beyond her years. Understanding that I was feeling a LOT of pressure currently, she never lashed out and humbly confronted. This defied all logic. If two tidal waves moving rapidly towards one another in nature were to collide, the result would be a violent amount of force and pressure! But, as she confronted me, and I in turn her, the water simply went calm. We ended the night with smiles and love and were proud that we had handled what could have been such a negative circumstance so well! Yep! Have a great day! :)

Relaxing Sundays are the Best.

That's the truth. Daniel and I both played/sang for worship this morning. I hope you all enjoyed your extra hour! After church and tearing down, we came to my apartment for some lunch and some LOST. After, we went to DSW to look for some wedding shoes, which I still haven't found yet. When we came back we relaxed, did a little homework, watched LOST and ate turkey burgers with my roommate and that was pretty much it! Nice to just relax sometimes. For real. Have a great week everyone!

Craft Stuff!

Saturday was UCF's Homecoming game! Unfortunately, Tori and I didn't go... because we had more important things to do!

We started out the day by me waking up and heading to Tori's apartment to make us breakfast! It turned out pretty good, although I felt like it was missing something! Anyways, then Tori went to a baby shower with some ladies and I went back to my grandparents to practice some music for Sunday. Afterwards I picked Tori up and brought her with me to my grandparents house. She did some homework while I applied for graduation and then applied for graduate school!! Which is crazy to think about! Once we wrapped up all of our school related activities, we headed to Hobby Lobby to pick up some craft stuff! Tori was so very excited for such a successful trip! We got allll sorts of stuff! I am not sure if I should reveal what all we got so that the wedding is a little more exciting, but it was great! And my cousin, Elmo, came with us making the trip a little more social then completely exclusive! haha. After Hobby Lobby we grabbed a little post dinner food and headed to Baldwin Park to drive around and show it to Elmo, who admired it very much! Then Elmo and I dropped Tori off at her apartment for the night and headed home. The end! Have a great day!

Date Night 3!

Dinner time!

Since our date night had been postponed, after classes and babysitting, it was date night #3! We got ready and went to Macaroni Grill! Which was delicious! It was our first time going there, so it was a nice experience! We even had a really yummy dessert, chocolate cake and ice cream. Classic. However, it came with Ghirardelli melted chocolate, and a little bit of toffeeeeeee! Anyways, we walked around Waterford for a little while since our movie was a late one. I bought some ear warmers for when I go running in the cold! After that we saw Wreck-it Ralph! Daniel and I really enjoyed it and it great for boys AND girls. It was clean and super cute! So, I definitely would recommend it. Hope you all are having a great weekend!
Waiting in line to get in Wreck-it Ralph!

Shopping Trip.

Sorry for the quality of the photograph! Yesterday was a typical hi intensity school work day! But it ended with a great evening with Tori's cousin, Caleb. We first ate frozen pizza (organic with pesto! It's delicious!) then we loaded up Caleb's mode of transportation, his bike, into Tori's car and headed to the Waterford Lake's Town Center! First we went to Claire's so Tori could find some jewelry for the wedding! Then we got Caleb's dog a sweater for the cold! Then we got some wedding stuff and picked up the save the dates! Successful night for wedding stuff! After we dropped of Caleb, we headed back to Tori's apartment where we said goodnight and I headed home for the evening! I hope you all had a great day! :)
